Transfer Deadline Day Thread
As of midday on Transfer Deadline Day, West Ham still fail to secure a single senior signing but unsurprising it seems Sulli has fed the media with stories of various record breaking bids.

What we are hearing today:

Defenders:

Nat Philips (Liverpool)
Was on the radar, no bids confirmed but looks like he is off on loan to Bournemout

Duje Caleta-Car (Marseille)
Marseille refusing to accept any loan-to buy offers from West Ham so finally on deadline day looks like we may try and secure a permanant signing - common theme here but have we left it too late?

Strikers:

Darwin Nunez (Benfica)

Overnight news of a 50m bid from West Ham. Mixed news about whether the bid has been rejected or accepted but history would suggest that it's quite possible a bid was never even made. Sounds like a Sulli special "effort" to make a big signing.
If we did want him, why would we wait until deadline day to put a bid in when the player is on the other side of the world playing for Uruguay? Logistically, a very difficult deal to complete in less than 24hrs.

Bamba Nieng (Marseille)

Supposed to be be a double deal with Caleta-Car but another one who is in another continent playing international football which complicates the deal and makes it less likely. Only 21 years old so bit of a risk but unlikely to break the bank so more appealing to our tight owners.

Divock Origi (Liverpool)

Talks of a loan or permanant deal but nothing more than speculation until today. Either deal would suit as I've no doubt he would be a decent signig but I can't help thinking this is just one of those easy rumours where there is no real truth in it.

Rhys Healey (Tolouse)
An odd one, never heard of him before but has a pretty respectable goal record in Ligue 2. You'll have to search for this story but it's there!. This seems more likely than any of the others considering it would likely be a very cheap deal.

Others:

Jesse Lingard (Man Utd)

Seems the most likely and the most unliekly. Would not surprise anyone but with everything that has gone on, loan or permanant deal would be a little underwhelming even if he would do a good job for us. But again, why would you wait until deadline day?

There are bound to be some more names but feel free to share news, thoughts etc.

What time does the window SLAM SHUT?

It's a WHO tradition to be absolutely raging at about 10pm over the lack of signings. A right of passage.

Velociraptors were a lot smaller than in Jurassic Park.

Mansize at most. You could probably fight one off with some well-aimed kicks, and certainly if armed with a hefty stick.

And there's a view is that they were solo hunters.

Is it Transfer Deadline Day?

Nobody's mentioned it. I don't get told nuffink, me.

You'd have thought the media would at least have shown a modicum of interest.

Couple of illegal SPLATTs here I'm afraid.

Scott gets an hour just like the rest of you, regardless of the perceived turgidity of thread.
